Body Analysis, Character Traits, O Corpo Explica, Where Does It All Come From?
What is body analysis?
Body analysis is a valuable tool that reveals how the shape of the body can provide information about a person thought patterns, emotions, behaviours, fears, pains and resources.
Body Analysis is a unique approach that focuses on analysing the body format, rather than gestures and expressions. This method has been developed and utilized by “O Corpo Explica” based on scientific studies of human behaviour.
This process involves analysing six parts of your body, scoring the percentages of each one of five character traits and generating a graph which will be your character traits map.
This information is crucial for personal development; revealing who you are and why you are that way, can help you understand how these factors affect your life and relationships.
As an individual, it is important to recognize and embrace your unique personal characteristics to hold yourself accountable and avoid placing blame on others for the difficulties you encounter in life.
This is not guesswork or anything that can lead you to make a decision for your spiritual life.
Just to clarify, We are referring to factual information and not mere assumptions or unsupported beliefs. we are not talking about guesswork or unfounded perceptions, the foundation for this is entirely scientific. The authors listed below provide the foundation for body analysis.
The concept of the unconscious was introduced to the world by Sigmund Freud, who pioneered the study of this scientific field, who first introduced the concept of the unconscious in human beings.
This unconscious had the power to control and influence the lives of these individuals without them even realising it.
His contribution has greatly enhanced our understanding of the human mind depth.
Numerous new studies have emerged from that point, collaborating with the same ideal and presenting fresh perspectives on the subject. It has begun to make considerable progress in the attempts at the human mind. But there was a catch.
After all, a person is formed not only by his mind, we must consider his body. The question was straightforward. Is there a direct relationship between the two? Or was the body just a structure guided by the human mind?
Wilhelm Reich, a disciple of Freud, introduced the idea that the body and mind were intricately connected. This was a This information is crucial for personal development: revealing who you are and why you are that way can help you understand how these factors affect your life and relationships concept, as previous studies had already identified the presence of certain traits.
He was a Freud disciple and a member of the prestigious Vienna Psychoanalytic Society, founded by his tutor. Reich was considered one of Freud’s most promising students during that period.
The study developed by Reich made it very clear that a person’s body and mind are essentially interconnected. Additionally, Reich discovered behaviour patterns that are related to physical patterns during his research.
In other words, he found that people who had similar behaviour also had a similar body.
In this way, Reich promoted several kinds of research in order to prove his theory. However, the techniques he used in his studies were considered revolutionary for the time, which put a premature end to the proceeds and discoveries on the subject.
At least momentarily. This is because although these issues interrupted his advances, numerous other authors have built on his research.
And, in this sense, there was a point that demanded attention. After all, even if a relationship between body and mind had been proven, nothing had been systematised.
Alexander Lowen was the one who systematized everything, making it possible for us to have a clear and objective understanding of the traits and how they are formed.
With this in mind, Alexander Lowen, an American psychoanalyst of Freudian orientation and one of Wilhelm Reich’s students in the 1940s, developed mind-body psychotherapy.
Taking inspiration from his mentor Wilhelm Reich, American psychoanalyst Alexander Lowen created mind-body psychotherapy with a Freudian perspective in the 1940s.
From it, he recognised the names of the 5 character traits. These being:
The schizoid;
The oral;
The psychopath;
The masochist;
The rigid.
Each person is formed based on 5 character traits, which develop in childhood and mould the shape of the body. These traits are responsible for the way a person thinks, feels and acts.
REMEMBER
The names of these traits have no association any kind of pathology or disorder. These are just the names of which they are presented in the scientific literature.
This systematisation was fundamental for what was to come. After all, all these contributions paved the way for us, at O Corpo Explica, to invest in further studies and research to synthesise all this.
Where do the character traits come from?
The knowledge of the character traits is not from O Corpo Explica. O corpo Explica created a tool to measure and control the traits of characters, improving the studies of the Bioenergetics of Reich and Lowen, making it possible to measure the character traits according to the shape of the body in order to explain the functioning of the mind. ⠀
O Corpo Explica means The Body Explains, a school with research in various segments based in São José dos Campos, SP. Founded in 2018.
With Dr Vanessa Cesnik, a doctor in psychology from USP, researcher and member of the Scientific Committee of the World Association for Sexual Health, and Elton Euler, Communication specialist, founder of the Escola Brasileira de Comunicação and creator of the Humanês Method of communication.
Before the creation of the Character Map, everything related to body and behavioural analysis was based solely on intuition. However, Elton Euler made a significant contribution to science and was able to adapt and create this unique tool. The Character Map is used by body analysts to identify the percentage of each character trait, making it an invaluable tool for human development. Through a body analysis, it is possible to obtain a series of valuable answers related to how each person functions.
These were the precursors, the ones who imagined, researched, innovated and brought to life the technology that allows body analysis to exist today. This path of exploration has led to several discoveries that have positively impacted the lives of countless people and will probably continue to do so in the future.
Now it's up to you to learn how to make your life lighter with the knowledge of your body shape. The tools are already at your disposal, I'll just guide you on how to use them properly.
Throughout your journey, you can count on me with dedication, care and respect for who you really are.
Big hug!
